Biography
Peter Breen has been making films since he first got his hands on the family camcorder in the 90’s.
He studied in Manchester and holds a BA Hons in Fashion Image Making - specialising in Photography.
Peter’s filmmaking aesthetic is heavily influenced by his work in the Fashion industry as a stylist in the early 2000’s - His speciality was nurturing new pop acts into theatrical show stopping outfits and edgy, runway inspired streetwear with his signature flair.
His filmmaking career peak was making a 90 minute independent feature film ‘Lighter’ in 2018 on an impossibly small budget - A year in the making, it included a crowd funding campaign, 30 long shoot days, multiple locations and a huge cast of actors including two dogs and a cat. He directed, filmed, edited, colour-graded the film, in addition to creating production stills, voiceover and soundtrack.
For the past 5 years Peter has collaborated with Louis Byrne on his online motivational campaign - filming behind the scenes on photoshoots and events, interviewing celebrities, influencers and beauty industry professionals and even filmed inside a confession booth as part of an art installation. They produced a series of short films which have been put together in the documentary ‘I Can I Am & I Will’. (See Films)
